When we visited this site it was outside the ACSI acceptance dates so rather than pay the €19 per night we had to pay an eye watering €70.20 for our two night stay.
This site was chosen because it was the nearest we could find to Rotterdam’s Europort. With the ferry not scheduled to arrive until 17.15 and the possibility of not disembarking for some while after docking at the end of a seven and a half hour passage we did not want to travel far. As it happened the ferry arrived early and despite getting caught in the Rotterdam rush hour traffic we were at the site less than 45 minutes after the scheduled docking time, which was as well as the reception closed at 6.00pm.
The staff in the reception were cheerful, helpful and spoke, as do many Dutch, excellent English. We were directed to a hard standing pitch that was tight, lengthwise, but adequate for our van and close to the excellent facilities.
It is our experience that many large sites in Holland divide the site into small intimate areas and this site does that very well giving the feeling you are on a small family site rather than the giant all singing and dancing holiday centre that it is.
There is a restaurant and swimming pool neither of which we tried but both look good.
